One of the most unique varieties of Quartz is, Ametrine. As its’ name suggests, it is a fusion of both Amethyst and Citrine down to the atomic level. Much like other bi-colour stones, Ametrine has two colours with a distinct colour zoning, often visible as a straight line between the yellow and the purple. Ametrine is only commercially mined in the Anahi mine of Bolivia. The world first came to know of it by the Spanish colonisation of Bolivia.
This stone is completely natural – no enhancement has been performed, and it was cut from the original mined gem rough.
